STEP 1


Create your account


If you don’t have a Snapfab account yet, now’s the time.

Go to www.snapfab.com/sign-up, drop in your details.

STEP 2


Upload Your Files


Drag and drop your 3D models onto any page to get instant pricing evaluation.

Our secure uploader accepts .step and .iges 3D file types.

Select the components you want to include and Snapfab

will automatically identify one of our 5 flat-rate packages or *Snapframes.

STEP 3


Modify your Snapframe


Snapfab instantly evaluates your part and assigns one of five Snapframes

with flat-rate pricing and lead times for further customization. Tool action?

No problem, we build our tools with steel and ability to to handle parts with slides, lifters and other feature actions.

  • Select your preferred thermoplastic material
  • Choose from natural or custom colors
  • Pick a part finish level
  • Adjust your quantity
  • Add iteration package
  • Leave your project requirement notes

STEP 4


Review and Checkout


Snapfab auto-generates part drawings from your upload complete

with materials, colors, finishes, tolerances, and any project notes.

Tolerances are set to SPI commercial ranges based on your

material and feature sizes for a production-quality preview.

Review the drawings, confirm details, and download a PDF for your team.

Everything saves to your dashboard.


When ready, head to checkout. You can pay securely with Stripe or submit a PO.

Snapfab only charges once production begins, and your dashboard updates automatically.

STEP 5


Chat directly with shop


After checkout, you’ll be taken directly to your project dashboard.

From here, you can manage and track every aspect of your order in one place.

Use the built-in chat to connect directly with our engineering team,

ask questions, or share quick updates. Access and download all

project-related files from the file repository whenever you need them.

STEP 6


Follow along with Snaptracker


You can follow your project’s progress in real time

using SnapTracker, which provides a clear status bar

for each stage of production—from kickoff through shipment.


Once your order ships, Snaptracker keeps you updated in real time

just click “Track Shipment” from your dashboard to see exactly

where your parts are and when they’ll arrive.

No guessing, no surprises. Just clear visibility so you can prep for what’s next.


When it’s time to run it back, reordering takes seconds.

Open a past project, hit “Reorder,” and all your original specs are preloaded.

You can adjust quantities or notes before checking out,

making scaling up as seamless as your first order.
